Hello and welcome to my photography page!


I’m Julia, a professional photographer based in Bakersfield, California, with over 24 years of experience capturing life’s most meaningful moments and 16 years running my own business.

My love for photography began in childhood and has grown into a lifelong passion for creating timeless portraits. From natural light to studio work, my goal is always the same — to deliver images that tell a story and preserve memories for generations.

I come from a proud family of hard-working roots, the granddaughter of migrant grandparents from Guadalajara, Jalisco, who came to Delano, California, to work the fields. I am a mother of  7, and a grandmother of two. Life has tested me — I have survived two serious car accidents — but through God’s grace, faith, and resilience, I continue to stand strong and pursue the work I love.

I am blessed with a loving husband whose support inspires me every day. Together, we walk this journey with gratitude, faith, and purpose.

Photography is more than a career for me — it is my calling. I believe everyone deserves beautiful photos, which is why I remain committed to keeping my work both professional and accessible.

For me, photography is more than taking pictures — it’s about capturing emotion, connection, and authenticity. Every session is a chance to freeze a moment in time, so when you look back at your images, you don’t just see the memory… you feel it.

I believe in creating a comfortable, welcoming environment where you can simply be yourself. Whether we’re in the studio or outdoors, I’ll guide you naturally through poses while leaving space for candid, genuine moments. My goal is to capture both the small details and the big emotions that make your story unique.

I also understand that professional photography should be accessible. That’s why I strive to keep my work affordable without compromising quality — because everyone deserves to have beautiful memories to hold onto.
